Meet the Artist
Shaheenur Khan
I’m Shaheenur Khan, a London-based emerging artist whose work moves between memory, emotion, and the quieter parts of the mind. With a background in architecture and a Master’s in Landscape Architecture, I’m always exploring how people live in both physical spaces and their inner worlds and how those spaces shape us.
I’m not someone who easily puts feelings into words, so painting has become the place where I speak most honestly. My work is expressive and slightly surreal, letting colour, faces, and forms express the moments that sit beneath the surface things like lingering conversations, generational stories, or bursts of quiet feminine rage, all transformed into bold, layered visuals.
My paintings are shaped by the people in my life friends, relationships, even customers who leave unexpected impressions. Each piece begins as my own moment, but I create with the hope that someone else finds a connection in it too.
My brand, YOUR NUR, comes from my own name, Shaheenur. It means “a piece of me to you,” which is exactly how I see my art: something personal that becomes shared.
The dream is to one day walk into a room and point out my artwork somewhere, knowing it has become a part of someone else’s world.

Traditional Drawings
This collection showcases my traditional sketching work exploring still life, street scenes, animal studies, pet portraits, and human anatomy. Focused on observational drawing, it reflects my interest in structure, gesture, and form through quick studies and detailed explorations. It’s one facet of my broader creative practice, driven by a curiosity for capturing life as it happens.

Original Paintings
My original paintings explore emotion, identity, and memory through expressive colour, layered textures, and symbolic forms. Blending figuration with abstraction, each piece is a personal and intuitive reflection—meant to evoke feeling before meaning.

Wall Painting
I created a custom wall painting for a private space, blending colour and mood to transform the room into something personal and expressive. My mural work adapts to the energy of the environment while still carrying my signature style.

Window Painting
I designed a hand-painted window display for a jewellry store, Inspired from one of their own products. My window art merges creativity with purpose drawing people in from the outside.

Designed a sleek, black-and-white business card for Chef Ash Walcott, embracing a clean and minimal aesthetic to reflect his refined culinary style. Painting Workshops
I’ve had the opportunity to lead several art workshops, working with large and diverse groups across different ages and experience levels. These sessions focused on encouraging creative confidence, exploring various techniques—from sketching to painting—and making art feel approachable and enjoyable for everyone involved. I’m passionate about creating an inclusive, inspiring environment where participants can express themselves freely, learn new skills, and connect through the shared experience of making. Teaching in these settings has deepened my understanding of how art can build community, spark ideas, and open up personal exploration.
