Thank you so much for choosing this piece this one holds a very unexpected

place in my journey. It's an acrylic painting of a sunflower that I made when I think I was around 14 - 15, buried in schoolwork and learning about Van Gogh.

Back then, painting sunflowers felt like a rite of passage but truthfully, I remember hating every second of making this one. Growing up as a girl and being taught to be "tough," I hated flowers. I saw them as delicate something I thought I wasn' t allowed to relate to. Never in a million years did I think this painting would become my best seller. At the time, it felt like just another assignment. And yet, here we are-years later and it's not only found a home in so many spaces, but it's become one of my favorite pieces too.It taught me something I hold onto tightly now: You're not allowed to judge your own work.

Sometimes the pieces we resist the most are the ones that grow with us and in

us.

I hope this little sunflower brings warmth and light into your home and maybe even reminds you to stay open to the things you once turned away from.

Funnily enough, sunflowers are now my absolute favourite now.
