I Refuse to Fake It Till I Make It. I Will Only Smile When I Actually Fucking Want To.

It’s a lesson learned from years of working retail, where after long, exhausting shifts, people, mostly men, would tell me to “smile more.”

I swear, if raising a hand wasn’t illegal, my self-control would have a much harder job. But instead, we do what we’ve always done.
